2012 Chevrolet Sonic to start at $14,495 by Auto123.com |

General Motors just released pricing info, launch date and content levels of the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, just before its arrival in Canada. Offered in 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback body styles, the Sonic will hit dealerships in October, replacing the Aveo.
The LS model is equipped with a 1.8-litre, 4-cylinder engine that develops 135 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque and a 5-speed manual transmission. Antilock brakes, six airbags, electronic stability control, keyless entry and Bluetooth connectivity are standard. The Sonic LT adds A/C, cruise control, body-coloured door handles, an AM/FM/CD/MP3 player as well as power and heated mirrors. The top-level LTZ version also gets a turbocharged 1.4-litre engine with 138 hp and 148 lb-ft as well as a 6-speed manual. It will also include wheel-mounted audio controls, 17-inch wheels, perforated leather, fog lamps and decklid chrome trim.
